General discussion

I don't know who is at 24.18.129.104 (and it would be nice if you'd register, too), but the chart for the Season 1 section is a great addition. I've not seen it used anywhere else. Of course, I never have looked at the article on Survivor, so I'm aware I might be missing out on something. Season 2

I took a stab at setting up an elimination grid for Season 2. Each week it will have to be edited a bit to move the out designer to the appropriate row, but that's pretty easy. Crunch 14:31, 25 December 2005 (UTC)

Daniel Franco's age

There has been confusion regarding Daniel Franco's age. The Bravo web site for Season 1 listed his age as 28. One year later, by Season 2, the Bravo site for Season 2 jumped him three years ahead to 31, but lists his birthdate as November 11, 1971. I am going with the theory that the Bravo biographers made a math error but have his birthdate correct. Therefore, Daniel was 32 at the time Season 1 was filmed and 33 when Season 2 was filmed. Details of unaired episodes

Can we agree to keep details of upcoming episodes listed as To be announced until after the show airs? I know that some aspects can be gleamed by the previews, but these may be incomplete and will have to be written after the show airs. Subcategory Project Runway judges

There is a currently a Wikipedia categorgy "Project Runway" and a subcategory "Project Runway contestants." I tried making another subcategory, "Project Runway judges," but I didn't do it right. Removing website

Producer input

However, the show's ending credits state that the judges act partly on producer input.

Picture

There should be a more useful (i.e. bigger) picture at the top of the page, the current one is so small, you can hardly see anything on it. There a several bigger versions of the first season DVD cover which is currently shown (http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B000ATQYSS.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg) and its use would be unproblematic through promo picture fair use licensing. -- EnemyOfTheState 23:32, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

Background on the show

Almost 100% of the content of htis article is about the dealings of the show (i.e., the competitions and their results). There is nothing on how the show was started (for example, how did the idea come about?), how popular it has become, or what kind of cultural impact it has had. The Runway page is in no way a "bad" article, but it's also certainly not a good article. -- Kicking222 14:52, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

Format of contestants in the running

With all due respect, I don't like the plain list. I preferred the table because it was more convenient because it showed who won what challenges, who was the highest, who was the lowest, and so on. Please put it back.

Oh I'm really idiotic. My browser flubbed up and I thought I was on the Season 3 page. I'm sorry.

However, I think you make a good point. Do we need this much detail on the main Project Runway article? Shouldn't this article present an overview and the Season 3 article give the type of detail like the names of contestants and who's currently in the running and who's been eliminated? I think so. Trivia and Records?

I appreciate the effort put into creating the Trivia and Records sections, but I'm wondering if this is all really necessary or useful. For one thing, a lot of seems a bit ridiculous, for lack, of a better word. For example -- oldest and youngest winner? There have only been two winners! One will be the oldest and the other the youngest. There just are not enough data to make a lot of this information useful. Secondly, it is part of Wikipedia Style to avoid such Trivia sections and integrate the information into the article whenever possible, move it into a separate article or discard it if it's not encylopedic or can't be verified. What is the timeframe?

There is much argument among my coworkers as to the timeframe of the show. Some think it is filmed in a few weeks with the challenges running back to back, while others think the challenges are filmed over several months (as evidenced by Laura's growing belly in Season 3). Does anyone know?

I believe that each season is filmed over a period of about a month. Season 3 was filmed from more or less May 20 through June 20, 2006. Then the four finalists came back for Olympus Fashion Week from September 8-15, 2006. I'm only guessing on Laura's pregnancy -- maybe she decided to show if off more after a certain point by, for example, wearing shirts tucked up over her belly that pretty much say, "Hey, look I'm pregnant!" Nothing wrong with that, but in other clothing she does not look as pregnant. Crunch 02:44, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

one missing infomation on the chat of season 1 challenges

Did anyone notice that there's a one week missing in Vanessa's part of the chart of season 1 challenges? Because of that, her part on the chat seems wrong. Does anybody have the information about the missing-week of her challenge?

Tim Gunn and season four

Can anyone include a link to the People article stating that Tim might not return to the show for the next season? I can't imagine that they would ever do the show without Tim; not just is he easily the most popular person on the program, but I can't imagine that his role would take away that much time from his work at Parsons (hell, it's even filmed at the school). So long as they don't do another trip (e.g. Paris during season three), I don't know why he wouldn't be on the show. The People factoid should be cited in the article (in fact, the article as a whole needs citations), and I would personally like to see it. -- Kicking222 23:10, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

Hi,

to me it seems that this article mentions Elle and Saturn and Tresemme too often. Surely, that's a good representation of the show ;-). Error in article - Sebelia's leather shorts were excluded from Olympus Fashion Week show

The article says "Jeffrey Sebelia was accused of having outside help to finish his garments by fellow competitor Laura Bennett. The issue was investigated, and it was declared that he had followed the guidelines and did not violate any rules that would prevent him from continuing in the competition at Fashion Week. He did, however, go over budget by $227.95, and had to remove things from his collection to bring it back under the budget limit. However, he did not have to remove articles of clothing he had designed; the only items taken out were blonde wigs."

This is incorrect. I just saw the episode in reruns yesterday. He removed the leather pleated shorts from the final runway show because he could not produce a receipt for the pleating performed by the outside vendor. This is correctly reported in the article on Jeffrey Sebelia.

Well, right now it's only mentioned in 5 sentences in the article, which does not merit a spin-off. If you want to add to the article and expand the information with reliable sources as citations, feel free to. If it becomes long enough for its own subheading, fine. "International versions" languages?

Could someone list the normal languages used in each International version?
English - Project Runway, Project Runway Canada, Project Runway Australia, Project Catwalk, etc.
Portuguese - Projecto Moda, Projeto Runway (Brazil)

I was just thinking this same thing when I was looking through the "Project Runway around the world" section... What languages are these shows in? I started watching Project Runway Malaysia (or Philippines, I can't remember which one), only to find that it was part English and part some other language...It made the show very unwatchable to me. I concur. I'm awful at HTML or I would put it in the chart myself. PR Philippines is primarily in English, although contestants occasionally speak in Tagalog. Season 11 first air date incorrect

Adding images/photos of outifts to the Season articles?

A cast photo in the infobox (which most likely would always be non-free) is fine, but when it comes to any individual outfit, it would have to be a photo that is free content (From commons). --MASEM (t) 03:46, 11 March 2013 (UTC)

Semi-Protection for PR (All-Stars) pages!

I have noticed that PR pages have a high risk of vadalism especially the designers progress grids. I recommend to put a semi-protection for pretty much every PR page.
