editI see no reason to prod this article. A quick check on the website and Google shows apparent evidence of notability, so I'm removing the prod. andy (talk) 18:49, 3 July 2013 (UTC)
Update name
editI'm new to Wikipedia and it's editing process.
The organization has adopted a name change. How do I update the page title to reflect this? And, I keep getting a notification that my content sounds like an advertisement. I'm trying to be as straightforward as possible in explaining about the organization, but am failing apparently. Any help is appreciated!
Notability
editThe article was nominated for deletion in 2013. The result was no consensus, only the nominator and two others participated. Three sources were identified during that discussion:
- PCMA History
- Sonic Foundry press release
- Meetings and Conventions Industry Continues Booming in Mexico (Mexico Today)
1 is not independent, produced by the subject itself. 2 is a press release from Sonic Foundation promoting PCMA's use of their services. Sonic Foundation has a self-interest in promoting PCMA, thus it is not independent coverage. 3 is brief coverage of PCMA. It mentions that PCMA held a meeting in Mexico and several representatives produced videos testimonials about their experience in Mazatlan.
Taken together it seems to be just brief coverage and not enough to satisfy general notability. I'll see if newspapers.com has more coverage. Gab4gab (talk) 22:18, 29 December 2022 (UTC)
- There are some articles in newspapers of the city where the annual convention is held.Gab4gab (talk) 03:19, 27 August 2023 (UTC)
