Hi, the article mentions that "Muslims were systematically targetted and subjected to custodial torture and murder". Please cite a source for this statement. --Spartiate 09:39, 17 October 2005 (UTC)
Background comments: Indiawale (talk) 18:10, 2 March 2009 (UTC) User Barkeep, I had cited sources regarding corruption in India police, did you not check the links I included?
I checked the links and I only found one of them mentioning POTA. That link and the info it contained was moved up in the article. Again, this article is not solely about police corruption. Any mention of corruption should be in direct relation to POTA. Additionally, please review WP:V, WP:MOS, and WP:CITE on proper ways to make citations.Barkeep Chat | $ 18:28, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
Indiawale (talk) 16:02, 3 March 2009 (UTC) User Abecedare / Barkeep, Thank you for accepting the link I provided. I would now like to reintroduce the section regarding corruption in the Indian legal system as a seperate paragraph in this article. As I said this is extremely important to get a fair and balanced view of the POTA law.
- That is fine as long as it relates only to POTA. If you wish to go beyond that I would look to adding this to other articles, such as: Law enforcement in India, Law of India, or Indian Police Service. Regards. Barkeep Chat | $ 16:35, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
Arundhati Roy criticism
editIn an essay in her latest book, Listening to Grasshoppers, Roy presents lucid criticism of this law. Perhaps someone will bother to look into this with the aim of including her criticism into the article. __meco (talk) 14:52, 17 September 2010 (UTC)
