NPOV edit

As it currently sits, this article reads very much like an advertisement and customer testimonial for PowerDNS. It is definitely not NPOV. Fehrgo (talk) 08:29, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well it simply is that good. ;-) (ZaphodB) Fri Feb 8 15:26:04 CET 2008 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.97.7.90 (talk) 14:26, 8 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

As for me this article does not looks like advertising, just description of fully-featured program and it appears that this program is worth of it if all listed features are really here and working. Disclaimer: I'm do not using this server and have pretty neutral point of view about it therefore. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.210.145.118 (talk) 22:28, 23 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi everybody - please note that I (one of the PowerDNS authors) did not write a lot of the alleged advertising. I will be adding a bit more content however, and I'll strenuously try to keep it NPOV. Please let me know quickly if you think it is not. Ahu (talk) 19:04, 24 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Could someone without a conflict of interest please evaluate whether the maintenance template is still needed? It's been there for a while now. (I've got a conflict of interest since I work for PowerDNS but I've only been updating the versions of the software on this page.) aerique (talk) 10:35, 20 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

I have no conflict of interest whatsoever and to me this does not look like advertising. The only part I had doubts about was the 'the Recursor is used by several of the largest Internet providers' sentence. This might well be true, but I have not been able to find a reliable source for it (a presentation by PowerDNS developer Bert Hubert would not qualify as neutral). For now I have taken the liberty to remove both the sentence about internet providers and the multiple issues template (as these seem to have been resolved by now). No pun intended. PowerDNS management interfaces edit

AlisonW added that PowerAdmin is the associated web interface to manage zones in PowerDNS, I know of no reason why such a claim is made, as far as i know there is no management interface provided by PowerDNS project targeting users, but management interfaces are efforts done by various other projects, and PowerAdmin is one of them, alongside with PDNS Admin and PowerDNS on rails and JPower Admin (mentioned on PowerDNS.com) and even a drupal module (PowerAdmin). --Mayz (talk) 23:14, 3 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

I stand (er .. sit) corrected. I believe at one point - when I was installing PowerDNS myself onto a coupld of servers - I had read that PowerAdmin was the 'official' interface but I presently have no source for that, so feel free to amend by adding the others. --AlisonW (talk) 16:40, 4 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
