Fair use rationale for Image:Piper Maru 3x15.jpg edit

Image:Piper Maru 3x15.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Comments edit

  • ""Piper Maru" is one of those which helped to explore the series' overarching mythology, with the introduction of the black oil, became a storyline milestone for the series." Could use a re-writing
  • "but the crew falls prey to a bizarre illness forcing FBI special agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson)...." forcing them what?
  • Put actor for Alex Krycek in lead; the character also needs a wikilink in the production section
  • Should the Gray-Haired Man be wikilinked?
  • Who is later shot by Luis Cardinal?
  • "He departs the bathroom to leave with Mulder, now with the black oil in his eyes." I assume it's not Mulder with the black oil in his eyes? Rephrase the sentence to make this more clear
  • Wikilink Nicholas Lea the first time in production section
  • Use consistent date formatting
  • I'm not sure how justified the screenshot is; thoughts?

I think that's it. Seems like an interesting episode. I'll place this review on hold for seven days. Thanks, Ruby 2010/2013 04:06, 20 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

I've addressed all but the last point for now. I'm going to go look and see if I can find a free image for the infobox; or if not, for elsewhere in the article. I've commented out the screenshot for the time being anyway. Thanks for taking the time to look at this. GRAPPLE X 04:24, 20 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
Have replaced it with File:147F51002.JPG. Let me know if you prefer this or would find another image better instead. GRAPPLE X 04:28, 20 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
I like the image there, so long as that model fits ok with the episode. Anyways, nice job with the article as always. Passing for GA. Keep up your great contributions! (Hopefully I'll have time to look at that David Lynch list soon). Ruby 2010/2013 04:46, 20 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
It's the same model as the one in the episode (one character specifically identifies it as such by name), so as long as it works okay in the infobox it's a good match. Thanks again for the review. Although no thanks for the fact that I've now sat through half of Fringe's fourth season. ¬_¬ GRAPPLE X 04:49, 20 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
