Music description edit

The text describes the music as being "characterized by ... free jazz arrangements" and cites a Rolling Stone review to that effect. I can't find the review online; rollingstone.com gives a 404 error and that's all that appears in Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. However, having listened to the album I would not characterize this as "free jazz," arranged or otherwise. ("Free jazz arrangement" suggests a fundamental contradiction, but I can't read the review to figure out what the reviewer might have meant.) -- Gyrofrog (talk) 13:20, 21 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Ah, if I'd read further I'd see that the review is quoted further along: "Frequently the nature of the jazz backing is so free that the vocals take on an independent, almost a cappella feeling which Scott-Heron carries off surprisingly well." I'd still disagree regarding the comparison with free jazz. I know it's what the reviewer said but I'm not hearing it, nor do I think it makes any sense where this music is concerned. I'm leaving the {{dubious}} tag. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 13:23, 21 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
I agree it's not a free jazz album.
