i do not belive the comment that philly joe was unable to work in the UK is accurate, the liner notes from his Mo JOe Cd alludes to soem of these issues however, the CD was recorded at trident studios in london on october 1st and octobber 31st 1968, and that would constitute " working" also philly joe was known to have "sat in" on several local sessions and in pubs, this is also taken from the same liner notes
