I have to agree with the two above comments. Vardy is quite the legend. His article needs improving; he deserves it. Wright123 15:50, 9 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Vardy rules!!!

I did a lot of Vardy for my A level course. He and Richard Swinburne are the greatest!

"His book, The Puzzle of God, refers to the God who performs miracles for individuals but seems to ignore the masses, such as those in the atomic bombings of Hiroshima. He argues that "Such a God, at the least, needs to face some hard moral questioning.""

Is this paragraph worth taking out? I don't see how it contributes to the article at all. It is only one of his arguments not one of his views. Amyeis 01:36, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Quiet down children, we're all captivated by Dr. Vardy's sexual magnitism, that is whithout doubt, but even by Wikipedia standards this article does not do the great man justice. Does anyone actually have anything significant to add to this article? --SAS87 22:42, 29 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Jesuit Priest edit

Wasn't Peter Vardy once a Catholic priest belonging to the Society of Jesus ('Jesuits')? Does anyone have more info on that? Lucifershammer (talk) 17:49, 5 August 2010 (UTC)LHReply

Yes, he wasn't! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.148.139.39 (talk) 09:31, 3 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Theologian? edit

P.V isnt really a theologian, in his lectures he consistently refers to himself as a philosopher and NOT a theologian. I think the title ought to be changed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.25.8.204 (talk) 21:14, 26 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Like a resume edit

The addition of a large amount of new material on 31st January 2012 by a first time editor (Regineolsen) seems to read like promotional material and needs to be rewritten to conform to a neutral POV. - EthicsEdinburgh (talk) 15:33, 16 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Quality issues edit

This article is not in good shape. What seems to have happened is that poor sources have been added in a well-meaning effort to prop up non-notable material that was initially added without sources, beginning with this edit in 2012. I've started removing some of the overly detailed sections, and I'm trying to find better sources for what remains (e.g. sourcing the title of his PhD thesis to the University of London catalogue rather than to the website of a school in Truro). I'm leaving this note in case anyone wonders why some text and sources have been removed. SarahSV (talk) 20:09, 16 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
