Redirections edit

I redirected Spectrum (UK band), Sonic Boom and Experimental Audio Research to here, because there didn't seem to be much point in individual entries for Sonic's often interchangeable projects. Sadly, Chris Barrus's extensive discography seems to have vapourised, but it's still accessible via archive.org: http://web.archive.org/web/20030416030843/www.no-fi.com/spectrum/ --  ajn (talk) 09:07, 12 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

I disagree with this so-called interchangebility of Kember's projects. Sonic Boom is not a project; it is an alias of his. Spectrum and EAR sound nothing alike, apart from maybe "forever alien" in parts. And why did you skip Spacemen 3 and jump ahead to Spectrum?

To do:

  • Description of music
  • Drug use (Kember's one of the few musicians I know of who advocates heroin as a recreational drug)
  • Packaging (Op-art, that oil-water bubble pack for the first album, 5" vinyl, etc)
I would also query why 'Spectrum' and 'EAR' don't have seperate article pages.

I observe that EAR does have its own article, but Spectrum does NOT have its own article. This is inconsistent. My view is that both should have their own article and the relevant material from the Peter Kember article should be transferred across.Roland Sparkes (talk) 15:08, 13 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Another Spectrum edit

There's a Spectrum that we all know about that came from AU in the early 70's, but there was also another UK band called Spectrum from (I believe) Essex who released a double handful of singles between 67 and 69 (none of which got anywhere). I know next to nothing about them except for a few scattered pages on the web, and the fact that Free / The Tale of Wally Toft was the first record I ever bought.

Probably worth adding a disambiguation page here. --WestwoodMatt (talk) 21:56, 31 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Article re-write (Sept 2011) edit

Thsi article needed a massive overhaul, especially structurally, so I have just completed this. I have changed and added headings and sub headings, and re-arranged the article content. It was previously a mess. I have also done copyeditting. Roland Sparkes (talk) 23:45, 12 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

New Release amendment edit

There is a new release on Peter Kember's discography however it is a collaboration and I cannot link this to the relevant artist as the artist's page is stuck in draft/review status due to the original page being deleted by a banned Wikipedia user. How can I get this page published so that I can insert the correct link so the Peter Kember discography is updated? NEXUS6N6MAA10816 (talk) 15:37, 14 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
