Talk:Period-doubling bifurcation

Example edit

Would the simpler example of period doubling in the logistic map be a more appropriate example? Mathmoclaire 20:21, 12 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Example is confusing edit

What is "b" supposed to be in this "modified" Phillips curve map, anyway? It does not appear in the equations for the iteration. mike4ty4 05:11, 29 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Why just discrete? edit

The article states this is just for discrete dynamical systems, but period doubling happens in continous time systems too (just consider the behaviour of the Lorenz system). Maybe we should expand the article to full generality? Anders Sandberg (talk) 11:22, 30 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hello. edit

The logistic map doesn't look like crushed velvet curtains. Just sayin.
