Talk:People's Quantitative Easing

Redundant entry? edit

I would just like to point out that a section of the entry on QE is already dedicated to People's QE (or QE for People)

Thanks for your comment, I hadn't seen that. While this article is talking about a specific policy of Jeremy Corbyn, which would fund infrastructure rather than go to people directly, this might be better being moved to a subsection of that section - what do you think? Origins edit

There should probably be a bit more on the history of this proposal because it did not just spring into existence fully formed. The proposal was put forward earlier in 2015 by Richard Murphy under a slightly different title. "Green Infrastructure Quantitative easing". In 2014 the term, "People's Quantitative easing", was also used by economist, Simon Wren-Lewis to describe what is otherwise known as Helicopter money. And in 2012 "Peoples's Quantitative Easing" and the very similar term, "Quantitative Easing for the Public", was also used by economist, Steve Keen to describe his Modern Debt Jubilee proposal. -- Derek Ross | Talk 22:43, 30 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
