Pavel Kadochnikov is my grandfather

edit

I stumbled across this article when I decided to search my grandfather's name on the web. My grandfather, Pavel Petrovich Kadochnikov, was a Russian celebrity, so I was stunned how much came up when I entered his name. Years ago I conducted the same search and found maybe just one tiny article about my grandpa.

I have read this article and I am a bit dissapointed and would like to know where Wikipedia got information on my grandfather. His filmography is accurate and some of his life story, but there is a lot that is not accurate at all.

It's not mentioned that he acted with his son, my father, Peotr Pavlovich Kadochnikov. My father passed away almost 26 year ago. The last movies mentioned in the article were his. It was his screenplay, production as well as direction. Both "I will never forget you" and "Silver Strings" featured my sisiter and I.

As much as I am touched that my grandpa has an article on an American website, I would love to edit the article as I am not satisfied with a lot of its parts. With that said, I am also very touched that the article mentioned his incredible talent. I could not be more proud.

For confidential reasons, I will not give out my email address. However I would love to contact someone who can help me edit this article. I immigrated to US 17 years ago with my mother and my stepfather. My sister stayed in Russia. I left the life I knew 17 years ago and looking at my granpa's pictures brings tears to my eyes. I miss him and I miss that life, a life of cinema, concerts, acting and traveling. Mostly I miss my grandfather, because afterall he was a loving and awesome granpa to me and my sister, even though he was an icon and an idol and even a hero to others.

He was amazing. His only regret was that my father died so young, because they had amazing projects to complete and it broke my grandpa's heart that his son's talent was taken away from cinema at his very peak.

As much as acting was everything to my grandfather and my Dad, family was the most important and precious project. I miss that with all my heart.

Why have I stopped acting? Because immigration demanded a different path from me. My Mom's side of the family were not actors and my mother was afraid I would face a life of poverty if I picked acting in the country where acting can leave you broken. My bigest regret is that I did not follow my heart and I still dream to be on stage and leave the corporate world behind. I feel like my heart is always going to be broken, until the day I decide that acting is what I do best and carry on the KADOCHNIKOV legacy.

OVER AND OUT...
