I first got to know Paul playing table-tennis against him at lunchtime in the basement of the Cadbury Schweppes Group HQ. My career took me into Europe as the economist on the CFSP Crisis Management team, in the Western European Union 1993-2010, and so I found myself explaining basic concepts on Robert Peston's BBC Blog during the 2008 crash. That attracted a group of followers who wanted to get involved, and as their aspirations matched Paul's, I put them in contact, becoming the Jury Team.
