  •   Article is new enough and long enough. QPQ-exempt. The hook verifies (although, it might benefit from copyediting to make it a little less verbose) and is interesting. No issues with copyvios. Although it's not included in the nomination, File:Alempic 2023 permafrost viruses.jpg would make a good image for a lead hook if you wanted to rework it that way.
