Needs content from regions other than South Korea edit
I added some stuff from the corresponding Japanese page.
Also, the concept seems to be first put in writing by a University of Tokyo researcher called Yuki Honda (the Japanese page says so and the link seems legit). The date given in the original English page, which said that the origins are unclear, but it started being used on the internet. The period mentioned also was later so attributed the term (or at least a term for the phenomenon) to Ms Honda.

Similar Western Concept - ‘Passion Tax’ edit
There is a similar western concept of a ‘Passion Tax’. Is it supposed to be a separate page and then connected via see also, or should it be written about in this page? ThomasSoup (talk) 21:27, 16 May 2024 (UTC)
