  • Thank you for your lizard articles, these are much needed! Comments below:
  • Article needs more wikilinks. For example, "species", "endemic", "dry forest", etc. Only link at first instance, but what is linked in the lead should be linked in the body again.
  • island nation of Madagascar – I suggest to remove "nation", which is not of relevance here.
  • Within its range, this species is found on rock outcrops – "Within its range" is redundant, I suggest to remove it.
  • and is only found in the southwest of the country – its range seems to be much smaller than "southwest of the country". Can we be more specific?
  • steeply-angled snout – "steep snout"?
  • The ventral surface – "the underside"?
  • The description section could state which features are diagnostic for the species, which would help with identification.
  • Much info in the description seems to be general description that apply to other geckoes as well, and the selection of information seems a bit arbitrary (e.g., why are canthal ridges mentioned but not eye size)? But this is ok for a Good Article, and optional.
  • Information on variation is missing. I think this is important (especially the expression of the light and dark bands, as mentioned by your main source).
  • anteriorly – write "forwards" to avoid technical terms where they can be avoided.
  • sympatric – again, you could write more simply "share the same habitat" or similar. --Jens Lallensack (talk) 02:06, 27 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

    • Reviewed: not required

5x expanded by Olmagon (talk). Self-nominated at 23:48, 31 October 2023 (UTC). Post-promotion hook changes for this nom will be logged at Template talk:Did you know nominations/Paroedura maingoka; consider watching this nomination, if it is successful, until the hook appears on the Main Page.Reply

  • Article turned into GA within required timeframe
  • Article meets general sourcing requirements, hook cited and info verified on page 4 of the journal pdf
  • Hook is very interesting; I just suggest a slight change to grammar:
  •   QPQ not required, looks like this will be the nominator's second DYK credit. Fritzmann (message me) 17:01, 2 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
