Where to redirect
editNot to chimp. Illogical to point two levels down the hierarchy. A reasonable one is to point one level up, i.e, from where it derives. `'mikkanarxi 17:13, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
- You are incorrect. Panina (subtribe) and Pan and chimpanzee are all identical. It isillogical for Panina (subtribe) to redirect to an article which is not about the subtribe Panina. - UtherSRG (talk) 17:16, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
- No they are not identical. It just happens that Chimp is a sole representative. Tomorrow they may dig out some extinct paleochimp. Don't confuse classification scheme ith real animals. `'mikkanarxi 17:20, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
- So we change it then. That's how it is done with ALL OTHER such taxa articles. Do not change it again. - UtherSRG (talk) 18:22, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
- <shrug> I will not lose my sleep over it. If all your brains works in this strange way, I guess my brain is wrong. I've seen stranger sthings. Please make sure that chimpanzee article defines the term "panina", otherwise this redirect wil be reverted no matter how your logic works. Don't forget to disambiguate pan properly, by the way. `'mikkanarxi 18:32, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
