S.S.D. PalermoPalermo F.C. – Procedural nomination. I have no substantive view either way, but want to resolve a procedural mess.
This page has been moved several times without discussion, leaving it out of sync with the Category:S.S.D. Palermo+subcats, which were then ineligible for speedy renaming per WP:C2D because there has been no discussion.
To move both article and categories, there has to be a discussion somewhere ... so I have reverted the latest undiscussed move and opened this discussion to allow a consensus to be formed one way or the other. If there is a consensus to rename the head article, then the categories can be speedily moved per WP:C2D. So whatever the outcome here, categories and articles remain synchronised. • Support per WP:COMMONNAME.--Ortizesp (talk) 19:29, 12 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Support The common name of the football club is "Palermo" and there is no doubt the current incorporation is the successor of the predecessors , e.g. "U.S. Città di Palermo". We use full official name as natural disambiguator, so if the current incorporation (without legal suffix such as Ltd, inc, SpA, srl, ssdsrl, etc) is known as "Palermo F.C.", then the article should move to that article title as consistency.
