20 Pakistani Rupee Note image needed edit

The 20 Pakistani Rupee note was introduced last year on August 14, 2005. If possible could the image be placed in the article..

I have uploaded it! Thanks for the info. --Fast track 00:31, 23 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
All the banknote images seem to be missing for some reason. Regarding the updated Rs. 20 note (due to similarity with the Rs. 5000 note and confusion created thereby) it seems that the present Rs. 20 note design was introduced on 22 March 2008. There is an asterisk against the footnote with a superscript (when?) at the beginning. It seems to me that it would be appropriate to correct this to the date given in this section if you feel it's correct. Please see [1]. Thanks. It's not necessary to scan coins and banknotes if these can be saved/copied from central bank websites, in this case [2] Abul Bakhtiar (talk) 07:03, 6 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

How do we know the 1 and 2 rupee coins are rarely used? Enlil Ninlil 07:02, 16 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

You can ask User:Fast track. S/he appears to be a Pakistani expert. --ChoChoPK (球球PK) (talk | contrib) 11:17, 18 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Oh thanks, ChoChoPK - To answer the question, yes the PKR 1 and 2 rupees are indeed rarely used. --Fast track 21:46, 22 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Currency symbol edit

UsmanullahPK (talk · contribs) has added a new currency symbol (ݛ) to several pages, claiming that this is an acceptable currency symbol for the Pakistani rupee. I can find no source to verify this information, so I have removed it. I urge this user, or anyone else, to provide a reliable source for this information, or not reinsert it. Up to date images of 1, 2 and 5 rupee coins edit

Hi, I've noticed that the images of the 1 and 2 rupee coins that are currently up are not the newer aluminum versions that are currently widespread over here in Pakistan, and that there is no image of the 5 rupee coin at all. Should I scan some coins, upload the images and edit the table? --Blazaking (talk) 06:51, 8 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Yes! Wikipedia is a encyclopedia that anyone can edit! You can upload the updated images, and place them in the article! Secondly also learn editing a table, for properly placing the images there! Faizan (talk) 08:21, 9 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Currency symbols edit

The Currency symbols section shows images for the "Evolution of Rupee sign over the years". The section and even the images (they are listed as "Own Work" on Commons) do not cite any sources. The Pakistani Rupee does not and did not have any official symbols and the generic sign is used. The images are original works and thus should be removed. Gotitbro (talk) 07:51, 30 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

  • I have removed the section as I was unable to find any sources confirming the symbols. Gotitbro (talk) 05:51, 3 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
