Illustrations of the Padshanama
editThe compilation contains a total of 44 illustrations, considered to be masterpieces of Mughal painting, rendered by fourteen of Shah Jahan’s finest court painters between the years 1630 and 1657. The images include identifiable portrait likenesses of all important members of the royal Mughal court among other images. Extensive usage of gold arabesque on the border of each folio and Nastaliq calligraphy give the set of illustrations a majestic and regal aesthetic appeal. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Exciteedu (talk • contribs) 07:13, 15 July 2015 (UTC)
