PK2 in Quake 2, since when? edit

This seems to be a common misconception. I don't know if there are other versions of Quake 2 which may use the "PK2" extension but my version sure doesn't. Both my copies of Quake 2 and Heretic II (a game using the Quake 2 engine) use files with the "PAK" extension which is in the same format as those from Quake. The only other game I have using the Q2 engine is Sin and that uses files in the form of "PAK0.sin". The site fileinfo.com only lists Silkroad Online as using the "PK2" extension. You're absolutely right. I don't know what I was smoking when I added that (or did I copy it from somewhere else?). Anyway, it's indeed wrong, so I've deleted it! Thanks for pointing that out! --DanielPharos (talk) 22:03, 2 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
