Stare Szkoty -> Scottish 15th century settlement, "Old Scotland", near Gdansk? edit

Which people originally from Scotland set the name "Stare Szkoty", which means "Old-Scotland"? There is no English Wikipedia-article on Stare Szkoty. Simply a link directing to Orunia-Św. Wojciech-Lipce instead. German WP has got the article https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stare_Szkoty. Sadly it is not much more meaningful. Translated to English, it just states this: "Since the 15th (!!) century Scottish settlers lived there, who had come here for religious and economic reasons. Most of them were Protestants.". Some specific information were highly appreciated. Don't confuse Stare Szkoty with the younger Scottish settlement Nowe Szkoty of course. And also don't confuse it with Krynica Morska, where you also find Przebrno-Borowo, previously Sosnowo, previously "Danzig Schottland", meaning "Gdansk-Scotland", so a third "Scotland" -place, - just without "Old" or "New". 91.11.238.103 (talk) 09:43, 11 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
