Talk:On the Resting-Places of the Saints

[Untitled] edit

I suppose it makes sense to discuss both texts on a single page. This leaves the question of the title. I tried to mess with "DISPLAYTITLE" to get something like "Þá hálgan and Secgan", but I am not really sure what the best choice would be (shouldn't it be "*the* Þá hálgan and Secgan (tracts)", or "Þá hálgan and *the* Secgan"?) so I'll just leave it under "On the resting-places of the saints". --dab (𒁳) 12:03, 2 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Breedon-on-the-Hill (Mercian Royal Monastery) edit

Our articles on Breedon-on-the-Hill and Church of St Mary and St Hardulph, Breedon on the Hill say that, according to the Secgan, saints Eardwulf of Northumbria, Beonna, Cotta, and perhaps Friduricus (PASE: Frithuric 4) rest there.

But there is no corresponding entry here (nor in the extracted data for the Secgan at PASE).

Is it worth checking the manuscripts ? Jheald (talk) 13:44, 27 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

From the article on Eardwulf, possibly a different list of resting places is referred to, written in Peterborough. Jheald (talk) 14:18, 27 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
