Plot Section Needs Complete Revision edit
The current plot section was put together by someone unfamiliar with the novel and needs to be updated.
The story isn't bookended by stories about Omensetter, the description of Furber is incorrect, and he's ill not mentally degrading (he's fine by the final chapter). The second ¶ state that Omensetter's luck changes—it does not, forcing him to abandon Gilean—he moves down river... Orcutt even remains his doctor, and that it leaves the locals to question the role of Omensetter in Pimber's death, which they don't by the end of the novel.
