Hold on now, none of my sources says that the Fair American incident happened in Olowalu. They all clearly state it was on the island of Hawaiʻi not Maui. It was misleading to have the infobox here, but even more misleading now that it outright claims the wrong place. The question is where the battle box belongs. I was suggesting the Simon Metcalfe article? The problem is that it is not clear exactly where the Fair American was taken. Somewhere around Kawaihae, so maybe putting there would be best. I think current research is that it happened in a bay now filled after an 1802 eruption. But implying it was here without any source to back that claim up seems a bad idea. I think the right thing to do would be create a new article on Kaupulehu, Hawaii since sources generally say that is where the Fair American was taken, and pu the battle box there. I had been meaning to do an article on Kaupulehu anyway because other notable aspects (e.g. the lava flow). W Nowicki (talk) 02:33, 21 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
I agree. This page seemed rather confused when I found it. I made a quick attempt to correct things a bit, but it could use a lot more. A Kaupulehu page might be interesting--I don't know anything about it. Pfly (talk) 06:15, 21 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
