Coordinates edit

The current coordinates are for a point in the middle of the River Ouse, upstream of Lewes. This link and this link may be useful in fixing that. Autarch (talk) 01:25, 18 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

I've fixed these based on the OS map. Hassocks5489 (Floreat Hova!) 08:50, 18 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Listing numbers edit

Thinking about WikiLovesMonuments I had a look at the Wikidata entry. The one for the article is sparse, but there are three connected to the hill, which have different listing numbers:

Causewayed enclosure on Offham Hill (https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q17678689) which is https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1014534
Three barrows on Offham Hill (https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q17646994) which is https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1002276
Barrow field north-west of Offham Hill (https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q17647833) https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1009101

All three are scheduled monuments. Secretlondon (talk) 09:29, 18 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

And one more:
A platform barrow and two bowl barrows forming a linear barrow group SSE of Offham Hill (https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q17647910) https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1009946

I think f this is a featured article it should have at least covered the other sites on the hill. Secretlondon (talk) 10:09, 18 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

I don't think the article should include the monuments not actually on Offham Hill. The three barrows that are on Offham Hill should be mentioned, at least; currently the article mentions two of them. I'll have to look at the sources, tonight if I get time, to see why only two are mentioned. Thanks for the Historic England links. The Historic England link gives no details at all. Since Drewett explicitly says two barrows, and gives details, I'm inclined to leave the article unchanged until more information about the barrows emerges. It's tangential anyway as the article is about the causewayed enclosure, not the hill itself. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 10:53, 20 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
