Reverting uncited material that was added last month

I am explaining here why I will roll back this page from its current rendition to its 27 October 2023. On 23 February 2024, 继往绝可汗 added a mix of unverifiable and fictional statements to Obadiah's entry, among which are:

• "In the famous "Khazar dictionary" ("Lexicon Cospi", the first author was the Polish Iones Daubmanus" [This refers to a 1988 novel by Milorad Pavic that contains imaginary characters and books.]
• "Representatives of Abrahamic religions participated in this polemic at the invitation of the Obadiah Khagan" [The khagan at the time of the religious debate of the 860s was named Zacharias and at the supposed first religious debate, decades earlier, the bek was Bulan. There is no record of a debate taking place at the behest of Obadiah.]
• "During the anti-Jewish rebellion, Obadiah was murdered, most likely by his brother Hanukkah and the nobles conspiring against him." [No evidence that Obadiah was murdered]
• "Obadiah Khagan turned into a charismatic religious sacred living god, who, however, had no power, and the Khagan-Bek ruled in his name due to his reform failures." [No evidence that Obadiah was a khagan or that he was treated as a god]
• "In response to this, the kagan destroyed one of the most beautiful castles in his state — Pravoberezhny, which probably belonged to a non-Jewish Bulgar tribe." [No evidence that there was a Khazarian castle named Pravoberezhny, let alone destroyed by Obadiah.]
• "Obadiah's goal in converting to Judaism was to eliminate the ancient Turkish tradition that deprived the Khazarian Khagan of secular power." [There is no evidence that this was his goal.]

This will also restore Brook and Golb & Pritsak to the bibliography, and again correctly format the Dunlop entry, linking to Dunlop's page again. 172.58.241.103 (talk) 21:08, 16 March 2024 (UTC)

You cannot use unreliable sources and should not insult people who are more knowledgeable than you. One version of King Joseph's Reply is the only medieval document in any language that mentions Obadiah's name. 172.58.243.47 (talk) 18:13, 9 April 2024 (UTC)
