edit@Altenmann: should this article be merged to North Korean defectors? All North Koreans in South Korea are defectors, so this article covers a topic that is identical in scope, making it a fork. – Finnusertop (talk ⋅ contribs) 22:13, 27 February 2016 (UTC)
- Well actually, looking at the article North Korean defectors it covers defectors to all other countries as well, not just South Korea. Currently, it contains much more information on North Koreans in South Korea than this article though. I think this article should be substantially more detailed than the relevant sections in North Korean defectors to stand as a standalone article. – Finnusertop (talk ⋅ contribs) 22:17, 27 February 2016 (UTC)
- I dont really have any solid opinion here. I accidentally stumbled upon this info and put it into wikipedia. However IMO "defectors" is a political subject, while this article title is more of demographics and social issues. Whatever you decide. - üser:Altenmann >t 07:43, 29 February 2016 (UTC)
Percentages in Economics section
editThe Economics section states "Similarly, those who report cases of PTSD make 184.6 percent less than those who do not experience trauma related events."
Obviously this doesn't make sense, they cannot earn less than nothing. I do not have access to the cited source to see what it means. Perhaps it means that non-PTSD sufferers make 184.6% more, meaning PTSD sufferers make 65% less?2600:6C50:797F:5613:105B:E83B:42CC:7D8F (talk) 19:42, 9 October 2021 (UTC)
often mistreated at schools, denied employment, and are subject to other kinds of ethnic issues
editI think that should be moved to its own section similar to the Refugees facing ethnic persecution section of the Refugees in India article. Zaurus (talk) 12:19, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
This article is incredibly biased in North Korea’s favour.
editAs title suggests. 80.249.252.218 (talk) 00:32, 20 September 2023 (UTC)
- There are TONS of South Korea-related articles that are very low quality, for many reasons including the one you've mentioned. Simply sub-standard, written by children. 223.140.172.139 (talk) 02:31, 9 November 2023 (UTC)
