Notability

NorthStar was featured on Intervention the A&E program about addiction. NorthStar is a sister school to two other central Oregon schools: SageWalk and Mount Bachelor Academy, both of which are in the news.

What it really needs is verifiable/reliable sources to establish that notability. I'm guessing you won't have a problem finding them- it's nice to have someone who is well-versed in this area. tedder (talk) 07:14, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

I perviously made changes to address the appearance of advertising by removing unnecessary items. What is left is strictly to describe the school in the most neutral terms possible. I believe notability has been established via external references 1 & 2. If there are no further objections I will remove the banners. I ♥ ♪♫ (talk) 06:37, 5 December 2009 (UTC)

Before the banners are removed, the third paragraph ("The therapy provided by the school includes") needs some NPOV work. The whole paragraph looks like it was lifted from a brochure. tedder (talk) 06:55, 5 December 2009 (UTC)

Development of sources

Following a long career teaching and coaching young women in a large public school system, Ms. Samuel - then Jane Stewart - entered the private therapeutic industry through a teaching position at CEDU School in Running Springs, California. She later joined a then-new Mount Bachelor Academy in Prineville, Oregon as Admissions Director.

After several years at Mount Bachelor Ms. Samuel became part of the team that founded The NorthStar Center in Bend, Oregon. She later joined New Leaf Academy as Headmistress of their second campus, Rock Mesa, also in Bend. [1] I ♥ ♪♫ (talk) 19:13, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
