Real Estate Prices

Price trends refer to "the last ten years". Unless specific dates are provided, I will delete this vague reference.LorenzoB 00:22, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

I removed the following

The following read- Real estate prices in Newbury Park have increased over 250% during the last ten years. Median home prices in the area and surrounding communities range from around $700,000 to $2.2 million in parts of the valley. Starting in 2006, real estate prices have started to drop due to the credit crunch affecting mortgage financing. As an example, a newer 2,380 sq ft (221 m2). house in the gated Rancho Conejo community that sold for $880,000 in the summer of 2005 at the peak of the housing boom, would have fetched no more than $790,000 in the summer of 2007, about $700,000 in mid March 2008, and $685,000 in January 2010.[citation needed]

I know that house values have fallen due to the credit crunch affecting mortgage financing, but to give exact dollar amounts, such as- A house in the gated Rancho Conejo community that sold for $880,000 in the summer of 2005 at the peak of the housing boom, would have fetched no more than $790,000 in the summer of 2007, about $700,000 in mid March 2008, and $685,000 in January 2010,seems like original research and it has no sources to back up these dollar amounts. It also had a Citation tag so I just removed that whole paragraph.--99.177.250.140 (talk) 05:19, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
