Citations needed

edit

What's up with people not citing their sources on the 500 MW plant in Israel? That seems very unbelievable. I put an incorrectly citation needed tag before, and somebody removed it instead of correctly formatting it. I put in the correct formatting this time.Israel rocks so dont say why is there a farm there and some of the biggest companies CEO are from israel

Again, somebody cites incorrectly. You don't cite blogs for article entries.

In need of an update

Turn-up report

It is unclear from the story whether there is enough thermal storage to provide output at night, since the story indicates natural gas is used at night to keep the working fluid... fluid. Flagmichael 14:45, 11 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Ok, the power plant might be used longer than just one year, but there will be additional cost, too. -- 95.222.227.5 (talk) 21:48, 21 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

If you set up a spreadsheet to calculate the levelised energy cost, you can make assumptions about the interest rate, operating budget, and longevity of the project. See what numbers you get. E.g. with a $1 million/year operating cost, a 30-year lifespan and a discount rate of 5%, I get 13.66 ¢/kW·h. With a 20 years and a rate of 10%, I get 24.48 ¢/kW·h.

Image is Copper Mountain Solar Facility

edit

The image being used does include Nevada Solar One, but it's a postage stamp in the image compared to the Copper Mountain Solar Facility that surrounds Nevada Solar One. As a matter of fact, the same image is being used on the Copper Mountain Solar Facility page, which is more accurate. Nevada Solar One is roughly 70 MW while Copper Mountain is 458 WM, and if you look at Google Maps Satellite, you can see how small Nevada Solar One is in comparison. There needs to be another photo that accurately shows Nevada Solar One distinct from the Copper Mountain Solar Facility. Mseanbrown (talk) 14:52, 2 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Financials ?

edit

Any idea of what the gross margin, operating costs and EBITA is? What have they been getting for power? 10 cents/KWh? more? less? It's been 14 years .. what's the maintenance schedule like? 67.198.37.16 (talk) 01:30, 13 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

I think making a mention of Fallout: New Vegas would be appropriate in this article, due to its importance in the game 81.32.220.120 (talk) 11:12, 15 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
