Location

I think that the old version https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Neo_Phaliron_Velodrome&oldid=737662092 is better than current, but i think the best way to display the location of the velodrome is Neo Faliro, Piraeus, Athens. The velodrome was known as Neo faliro velodrome which from the location, and the from municipality of the stadium from 1924 to 1964 when the velodrome was demolished. Piraeus, because the neo faliro was in the municipality of Piraeus until 1924. Athens beacause built for the Athens olympic games of 1986 and served Athens [1] , [2] and gradually the area merged with rest of Athens and the last years before the ww2 become official part of Athens urban area.--Jjik43 (talk) 20:27, 17 September 2019 (UTC)

• Athens is already mentioned in the phrase "for the cycling events at the Athens 1896 Summer Olympics". No need to add an extra "Athens", next to "Piraeus", like "in Piraeus, Athens"; it is not improvement of any kind, it's confusing, it's absurdity.
• This is the reason that in the Greek article, where there was an edit war between IPs of you and socks of Vrachmarinaner on the same issue, bureaucrat geraki applied full protection to it [3], after the request I had filed to the Admins. Noticedoard [4]. Then, I ask in the article's talk page for a modification [5], which was accepted, and "Athens" as its location was removed from the article by sysop Cubic Star. The IPs (=you) tried to revoke this change, using the same reasoning and the same links to webpages as you do above, but their application in the talk page was totally ingored by the sysops, obviously as trollish.
• All these apply, for the very same reasons, to any similar case, like those of the Karaiskakis Stadium (built on the place that the Velodrome was once standing, or the Peace and Friendship Stadium right on the other side of it (the Stadium address as it appears on its official webpage is: "Εθνάρχου Μακαρίου 1, Πειραιάς [=Piraeus]- Νέο Φάληρο [=Neo Faliro] 18 547 Ελλάδα [=Grecce]").
• So, there is no reason at all to repeat this dialogue to the talk pages of the aforementioned articles, bringing forth the very same arguments. Your arguments that -beside other things- have been presented extesively in several similar cases at the Greek-language WP, and have been refuted unanimously.
• Finally, for any user unfamiliar with "Greek affairs" who tries to understand what is realy happening here, pls. read this to have a clear understanding of the backround of this case. ——Chalk19 (talk) 06:35, 18 September 2019 (UTC)

• PS. Just for the users of en/WP to get an idea of the tricks that user Jjik43 makes with sources. This link is to a timelime (its reliability does not concern me at the moment) of the history of bicycle. If we click date "Feb 17, 1895", a small window pops up with the history of the Velodrom. There we read that is was built "στην Αθήνα στο Νέο Φάληρο" (="in Athens, Neo Faliro"). This is supposed to be an argument for the version of the article that user Jjik43 favors. Alas! The small text on the Velodrome in the "window" is just copying the earlier, problematic version of the el/WP article, the one that has been finally corrected by sysop Cubic Star, following my suggestion to remove "Athens" as location of the Velodrome. Furthermore, consider how many news websites, magazines, newspapers, uploads at social media etc. may mention "Athens", just because they were coping information from el/WP (the article had been created in 2016). ——Chalk19 (talk) 06:36, 18 September 2019 (UTC)
