Large-scale revision needed?

I began work at the beginning of this article with a few minor revisions, hoping that standards would improve as the page progressed. I still have not made it to the end of the page yet, but I think it's safe to assume my hopes were in vain..?! The harder I look, the more problems I encounter, mainly with syntactical inaccuracies and grammatical gremlins. After making a few necessary changes to maintain the illusion that the piece was written by adults(!), I found it too difficult to fit it all together again without substantial re-writing. I hate having to be so fundamentally ruthless with articles that other people have spent so much time and effort creating (I specialise in the small, quick spelling corrections these days B-p) - and additionally I understand that the majority of contributors to this particular page are likely to be young people, who I would hate to discourage from future edits - so I have left well alone for now! If anyone else wishes to take it on (anyone?!) I offer you thanks and good luck. If, however, it's going to be left to me to make the changes, could I please have some reassurance that there is a consensus of opinion here, and that I'm doing the right thing?

30 October 2014 vandalism

I've just reverted several edits. It looks like user 86.131.147.168 added a note to say the ride was closing (with no source, and I can't find any mention of it on the internet anywhere), and the page was subsequently blanked by user 31.54.153.79. User 86.131.147.168 then re-added the infobox and the first section, which has since been cleaned up slightly by a few bots. Sub-Terra

@GoneIn60 The part about Nemesis Sub-Terra reopening belongs in the retracking section because Merlin used Sub-Terra to build hype for Nemesis' reopening. WikiHmmmm... (talk) 22:53, 1 September 2023 (UTC)

WikiHmmmm... – That's a good point. I went ahead and added a statement about the platform to that section. Feel free to further modify as needed. However, I kept a majority of the details regarding Sub-Terra in the section that was already covering it. Designer

Hi all,

please correct me if I’m wrong but I thought John Wardley designed the layout and Werner merely consulted on the technical side? HiddenHerobrine (talk) 14:48, 3 November 2023 (UTC)

RCDB only has Werner Stengel listed as the designer, as do other reliable sources. Wardley is typically responsible for creating basic concepts for the rides he has consulted or led production on, but he is not the engineer that designs the actual coaster layout. I can't recall if we typically wait for an official press release, but yes, this needs to happen.

WikiHmmmm..., your recent edits to the page seem to oppose renaming this article Nemesis Reborn. You seem to be suggesting a new article should be created instead. That's not how other coaster articles that have undergone refurbishments and transformations were handled (examples: New Texas Giant and Rougarou). You did bring up some valid concerns about saying Nemesis Reborn has given over 50 million rides. Statements like that need to be more carefully phrased, but that's no reason to remove everything that you did. --GoneIn60 (talk) 04:09, 19 January 2024 (UTC)

Yes, I think once all the changes have received detailed coverage in sources (not just promotional videos), the article can naturally progress in that direction. The goal would be to describe the ride experience and theming of each version in separate subsections. However, since both versions have a shared history and essentially the same ride layout, there's not much else you can really split in the article. -- GoneIn60 (talk) 23:19, 21 January 2024 (UTC)

Made an account to mention that the new name causes some confusion already mentioned when discussing historical events and statistics. I also see that you performed other edits in other pages that refer to the historical importance of the original ride, which further impacts the confusion. Now it looks like "Nemesis Reborn" was opened in 1994, but that is incorrect. There needs to be more distinction between the two rides. Lazynooblet (talk) 14:33, 25 April 2024 (UTC)

Lazynooblet, the article certainly needs some attention and will always be a work in progress. Feel free to continue to make changes that you think will help alleviate that "confusion" and emphasize the distinction you're seeking. If other editors agree with the changes, they should stick over time, at least to some extent. Right now, the article essentially states that Nemesis Reborn was previously known as Nemesis and originally opened in 1994. It goes on to talk about the refurbishment and re-theming to Nemesis Reborn in 2024.
