The page makes a crucial mistake: "Average" and "Mean" are not the same thing; Average is what the page states, but "mean" is the salary sum above which is half of the salary earners. Average salary is usually higher than the mean.Jheyno (talk) 07:20, 13 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

No, the mean is the total salary divided by the number of workers. Jheyno is thinking of the median. 'Average' refers to any summary measure of the centre of a distribution, but mostly it is used as a synonym for the mean.
