Bridge No. L4770

edit

There is a strong likelihood this structure has been demolished. A map included in its file at the Minnesota Historical Society SHPO confirms that the coordinates given are reliable. I recently visited the site and confirmed that no bridge was in evidence. Admittedly the roadway there is a raised causeway that drops off steeply to fenced private land, so it's possible the bridge was below me and simply not visible, but that wouldn't match its historical appearance (see photo here). A rock structure visible in satellite images just to the east of the road is simply a big French drain, not the ruins of the bridge like I'd half expected. -McGhiever (talk) 01:17, 6 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Daniel Dayton House

edit

This building is not visible from public thoroughfares. It is located on a private road that is closed off at both ends, per my site visit in July 2013. The closest parallel public road is at a fair remove, plus the Dayton House would by heavily screened by trees on a wooded ridge. -McGhiever (talk) 16:22, 11 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

I was bold. It's not screened by trees in winter. Jonathunder (talk) 17:50, 28 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Tunnel Mill

edit

This building may be demolished or lost. User:Jonathunder reports not being able to find it on multiple site visits and there's no evidence of it in satellite imagery (though it's in or near a wooded ravine). Its nomination form notes that "the mill is becoming increasingly vandalized and deteriorated" and that was in 1975! Here's a photo from the Minnesota Historical Society. -McGhiever (talk) 16:29, 11 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

It's been found. I hope to get a photo soon. I have communicated with the owner. Jonathunder (talk) 17:54, 28 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
