Scout or Military edit

This organizations seems decidedly bent on a military orientation, moreso than a regular Scout association. It may have drifted too far to be considered a Scouting outfit, but it did have Scouting roots, so I'm leaving the tag in for now. Rlevse 14:51, 4 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

This organization started as a military training for youth, with a Russian Orthodox view, with the intent to join the Russian Army, and then the White Army to fight against the Communist Red Army. As the immigrants moved away from Russia and WWII stopped, the camp kept its military roots, with the uniform, marching, and hierarchy, and had adapted to be a learning ground for children about Russian culture, Russian Orthodoxy, and camping skills. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fyodore (talk • contribs) 19:40, 31 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
