Still to do...

  • Hunt down Nathula references in the .gov.in, .nic.in, .ernet.in etc domains.
  • Copyedit the text for neutrality
  • Change infobox fields and edit svg map for neutrality
  • Reorganise sections
  • Copyedit for brilliant prose

"The road to Nathu La is one of the world's highest navigable roads" - there are so many road passes in the same altitude range (like the Kunzum La between Spiti and Lahaul) and higher (Khunjerab Pass on the KKH) that the designation seems off the mark. Ladakh has three roads going over 5000 : the Manali-Leh road (5300), the road to Panggong Tso (5200) and the road to Nubra (officially 5600, more likely around 5300. Friendship Highway between Kathmandu and Lhasa and the Golmud-Lhasa road also go 5000+. Vistet 04:16, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

True, it needs to to be copyedited. =Nichalp «Talk»= 15:03, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

  • gov.in
  • nic.in
  • ernet.in
  • gov.cn

Dispute about the political position of Nathu La

Expanded on the article. Needs some input from the Chinese side. =Nichalp «Talk»= 12:52, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

The Chinese people have nothing to say with the invader into Sikkim. ^_* ——Nussknacker胡桃夹子^.^tell me... 18:45, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

Location of Nathula(Green point)

I retrieve the deleted discussion of mine. It's a basic etiquette in Wikipedia, not to delete the discussion of others. But it is a pity that the democratical Indians don't allow others to have the freedom of speech. ——Nussknacker胡桃夹子^.^tell me... 15:21, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

Nussknacker, Please do not make country specific remarks on Wikipedia. Raise the issue with the person concerned. =Nichalp «Talk»= 16:12, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

Almost there

The article is 70% copyedited. I'll be resuming probably tomorrow morning. Any idea what link is causing the category: PDFlink without a parameter to be displayed? =Nichalp «Talk»= 12:13, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

Did not know what was causing that to appear. I changed "pdflink"s to simple "pdf" in format options of relevant citation templates. The first PDF to appear is wikilinked. Rest are not wikilinked. The category: PDFlink without a parameter has disappeared. Regards.--Dwaipayan (talk) 12:48, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
Thanks :) =Nichalp «Talk»= 10:02, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

I read the article earlier today and did a round of copy editing, without realizing that the article is being "readied" for FAC. As a "neutral" observer, I think it will make a great candidate - all the best ! Abecedare 19:37, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

British expedition to Tibet

I personally feel that the coverage of British expedition to Tibet is beyond what should be covered in this article. The pass was just en route to Tibet, nothing critical for the expedition. The coverage can be reduced to half of what is now. — Ambuj Saxena () 06:47, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

Note on copyedit

While copyediting the History section, I ran across a couple of possible POV issues. I removed them from the published text via hidden comments. Please refer to them and revise as necessary. Thank you, and good job on the article overall! Galena11 00:36, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the copyedit. I have removed the 'weasel wording' but have retained the other. The reason is that the text in question is the brief mention of the subject in the link, and not a POV. The reason why the British expedition to Tibet was launched was to keep out Russian influence. I have now rephrased the sentence. =Nichalp «Talk»= 12:10, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:

Triggered by \brailway-technology\.com\b on the local blacklist

If you would like me to provide more information on the talk page, contact User:Cyberpower678 and ask him to program me with more info.

Resolved This issue has been resolved, and I have therefore removed the tag, if not already done. No further action is necessary.—cyberbot II NotifyOnline 20:10, 9 April 2014 (UTC)
