Eval of this OKA-paid article

edit

This article by a paid translator is NOT ready for mainspace. This article was created just one week ago, and yet 75% (27 of 36) of the citations fail, which tells me they weren't even checked, and that the creating editor only translated from French Wikipedia. Creating an article in Wikipedia does not simply involve copying (translating) it from somewhere else, but also requires citations to verify the content. This article fails in that regard. This article also overlinks basic words and has numerous duplicate links, an issue I have found common in OKA articles.

These are the citations that did not link to actual sources: 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 34, 35.

I am sending this article to draftspace so these issues can be corrected. Once corrected, I recommend submitting it for review, rather than simply moving it back to mainspace.

The issues are already addressed. Thank you for the advice. Shellypls (talk) 20:28, 1 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
No they weren't, but they are now. I just now checked each citation -- you could have done that, too. Citations 11, 12 & 22 failed. I fixed them. Don't report falsely that things have been fixed when you couldn't even just click on each item in the references section. This was sloppy work to begin with. If you can't even click on all the links and fix the broken ones, I don't understand why anyone is paying you to edit in Wikipedia. That is a BASIC editor action.   ▶ I am Grorp ◀ 21:47, 1 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Breed

You might want to explain how a half-Holsteiner is somehow a Selle Français.   ▶ I am Grorp ◀ 23:08, 7 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello! Mylord Carthago is descended from Carthago (a Holstainer) and Fragance de Chalus (a Selle Francais). However, he is registered in stud books as a Selle Francais (here below I share some links for you to review). You might confused Carthago, Mylord Carthago and Carthago Z, they are three different named horses.

According to the FEI and numerous other websites, the sire of Mylord Carthago is Carthago Z. According to the wiki page Carthago (show jumping horse), that horse was also called Carthago Z. I have changed it on this page to Carthago Z and wikilinked it to Carthago (show jumping horse).   ▶ I am Grorp ◀ 06:17, 30 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Sometimes horses' names are confusing since they are quite similar. Thank you for the clarification. Shellypls (talk) 20:26, 1 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
