October 2005: is this article really noteworthy?

edit
I think it is, considering what MyADSL is doing for the South African Telecoms market, but prehaps it should be made a stub until it grows a bit? They could be alot more info here, I'll see if I can put some up soon ... --Kilps 19:04, 27 October 2005 (UTC)Reply
The whole dynamic and reputation of the site has changed a lot since 2005, I think it is relevant that the latest spate of controversies be included in the main article so that users have a better understanding about the recent spate of blog comments and slating/negative criticism all over the internet. Considering that nothing is reliably sourced, except for one citation from the site itself, I think this is just unnecessary if it cannot include all the info. If nobody can fix it up I'm nominating it for deletion. 41.30.230.30 (talk) 00:34, 23 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
I agree with Miyu. Will make the changes since some of it is already there. It's never possible to include all info but doesn't mean nothing should be included else there would never have been a wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.51.114.72 (talk) 19:49, 27 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

RAS and the use thereof on the MyADSL Forums

edit

RAS an acronym for "Reported as Spam"; is used on the forums of MyADSL/MyBB (MyBroadband) and is posted in a thread which is deemed by the users to be spam.

The "RBP" button (situated at the top right of each post on the forum is indicated by an image of an exclamation mark in a red triangle) an acronym for "Report Bad Post" is then also used/clicked on to notify moderators and administrators of the forum to the specific post which has deemed to contain spam. Leaving a RAS post indicates to other users that it has already been submitted to the moderators for actioning and therefore does not need a duplication of another RBP.

Another common use for RAS by regulars on the forum is; to post RAS followed by the vbcode  (depicts an angry face) after a post or by quoting the selected post. This is commonly used to have a bit of harmless fun with the person you have RAS'd. Though in truth the post has not been reported. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 196.23.23.169 (talk) 19:10, 9 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

How is this relevant to the MyADSL article in any way? This article is stale, and is full of inconsistencies, from time to time I see stuff being changed subtely, yet I am not permitted to make any of my comments stick because I am not a "reliable source" even though I am a victim of this website's cyber-bulling! It is time this article got rewritten. There has been more controversy of late and the article is so short, it doesn't even cover the history of the site over the last 10 years. They have just banned a high-profile contributor, the third such move since 2009 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sonikku2k (talkcontribs) 18:05, 10 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
