Disputing prod tag
editAs one of the cheapest shopping malls in Singapore, and with over 20,000 google hits, I believe it satisfies notability. Deleting an entry on an unremarkable fried chicken vendor I would agree with. But a shopping *mall*? There is plenty of verifiable information that could be added about it. Anyway, start a AfD if you like, and we can discuss it properly. Stevage 06:07, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
- Keep. Mustafa is arguably the most interesting shopping mall in Singapore. --Vsion 03:11, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

Citations required
editI see that there may be one website [[1]] who could support citations. However, this website itself is called Mustafa Centre website. I will see how if I can add references later. Kimberry352 (talk) 11:19, 7 June 2010 (UTC)
- Hi. You added citation required three times. If you have so many citation issues then just put a reference on top of the article that citations are required. I have undone your edit. Reasons 1) Refer to this link regarding 24hrs: http://www.yoursingapore.com/content/traveller/en/browse/shopping/shopping-malls/mustafa-centre.html 2) Regarding move from a shophouse to a shopping centre refer to this link: http://www.google.co.id/search?q=Mustafa+Centre+History&hl=en&tbs=tl:1&tbo=u&ei=bHQPTLiBBMzCrAft4uGfCQ&sa=X&oi=timeline_result&ct=title&resnum=11&ved=0CEQQ5wIwCg

- Hi Shorty23sin. Thanks for the references provided.
For No 1 reference, it is a good source to support the statement that Mustafa Centre operates 24 hours daily.
For No 2 reference, I am afraid that it may be difficult to waddle through hundreds of search results. I understood that Mustafa is said that "it never charges commission on credit card purchases, even for gold purchases" and "moved his business to the ground floor of Serangoon Plaza" since 1985. It would be better if you can find the reliable sources to support these statements above.
Just now I added the citation to support the fact that Mustafa Centre is a 24/7 shopping mall. Thank you.
For your info, in Jan 2009, someone added "Reference Improvement" tag that the Mustafa wiki article is required to have verifiable citations/references to support its information. See its edit history @ [[2]] Kimberry352 (talk) 11:25, 9 June 2010 (UTC)- Hi Kimberry352, Thanks for your reply. I agree that the second reference regarding the history is messy. But it supports the website from Mustafa Centre. Regarding the commission issue I would maybe even delete this part from the article. I could not find any source for that either. Thanks --Shorty23sin (talk) 11:40, 9 June 2010 (UTC)
- Welcome. Ok, this commission issue should be removed if the reliable source could not be found. Kimberry352 (talk) 00:12, 10 June 2010 (UTC)

- Hi Shorty23sin. Thanks for the references provided.
Removal of the commission statement
For your info, I have removed this statement about the commission charge.
Reasons are that:
(1) this statement seems promotion of sales by saying no charge commission on credit card purchase & gold
(2) as of today (22 Jun 2010), it has no reliable source/citation to support this statement

'Most' travelers travelling down to Mustafa Centre for shopping - Reliable statement?
edit"Most travelers on transit visa can exit the airport, travel down for some shopping at Mustafa Centre and get back in time for their next flight."
--> Where do these travelers come from? Do they come to Mustafa Centre for shopping and return back to their own hometown? Do they have to use via to exit the airport in order to travel down to Mustafa Centre? Why does the word 'Most' apply for describing the number of the travelers?
If there is no reliable source that can surely support this statement, then I think that this statement seems unprovable about its importance. I will remove this statement one week later if there is no reliable source found. Thanks. Kimberry352 (talk) 00:12, 10 June 2010 (UTC)
- I think this part of the article should be removed. All foreigners leaving the airport will need a visa (some can get viso on arrival free of charge). At the end this statement gives no real information anyway. I doubt that anyone will fly to Singapore to only go shopping at Mustafa. --Shorty23sin (talk) 05:58, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, I agree. I believe not all foreigners visit different interesting places. Kimberry352 (talk) 11:35, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
Since there was no recent objection of the planned removal of this statement, I removed it just now, Because it does not have any reliable source to prove itself. Kimberry352 (talk) 01:44, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
