editThis article really needs some references, but it's a good start.
- I disagree. I think this article is redundant. We already have articles on Performing arts and Musical theatre. We do not need this article too. -- Ssilvers (talk) 20:07, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
- I disagree with 'Ssilvers'- as a 'Music Theatre' student I know that there is a massive difference between 'Music Theatre' and 'Musical Theatre.' This page is by no means redundant. Students at University College Falmouth (BA (Hons.) Music Theatre) are in the process of writing and ensuring the infomation on this page is correct. - R.G. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ryangreen2 (talk • contribs) 21:16, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
Hello, Ryangreen2. Please sign your talk page statements using four tildes, which will automatically add your username and a date tag. I'm sorry to bear bad news, but choosing to write an article called "Music theatre" will be quite an uphill climb. As you can see by the rapid action of an experienced Wikipedian (not me) in reverting this page to a redirect, you are better off beginning with any other article. If you wanted to write an article on Musiktheater, for example, you would be much better off. What you wrote here was very confused and self-contradictory, as well as lacking inline references throughout most of the article. I am afraid you will run into a lot of people who will question what you mean to accomplish in such an article. However, If you do attempt anything like what you attempted here again, you need to start off the article by citing to and summarizing published sources that explain what precisely is the difference between what you call "music theatre" and musical theatre, using very clear definitions. All of your references must include full bibliographical information, such as author name, book/article title, page numbers and/or urls, publisher information, dates and ISBN numbers. See WP:CITE. Moreover you need to use only WP:Reliable sources. The "back cover" of something is not an acceptable source. See WP:RS. All the best, -- Ssilvers (talk) 03:00, 8 October 2011 (UTC)
