Because Musashimaru is considered the 15th Musashigawa, the original page should be brought back or this page should be continued and edited appropriately. This stable has produced 1 yokozuna and 3 sekiwake. It has done a lot more, than a lot of other stables that exist. The reason for this page being up for deletion has more to do with the ignorance of RHaworth than anything else. If articles about particular sports are to be deleted, they should be deleted by people who know something about the sport, not by RHaworth and others who have little or no interest in the sport. I wrote an email to Musashigawa stable, in my crappy Japanese, asking them in the new Musashigawa stable is a continuation of the old one or is it a brand new stable. If I don't get a reply, I think we should follow suit with Wikipedia's Japanese version of the new Musashigawa Stable and include Mienoumi Tsuyoshi as the 14th Musashigawa Owner and Musashimaru as the 15th Musashigawa Owner? --Leveni (talk) 04:03, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
stable continuity edit
Though Japanese wiki has chosen to handle it differently, the 2013 Musashigawa stable is the same as it's previous incarnation in name only. There was a 3 year hiatus before this new stable was established. Musashimaru inherited the elder name of Musashigawa (which is independent of stables and stable names, see http://sumodb.sumogames.de/Kabu.aspx?kabu=52 from Mienoumi and decided to use this chance to start his own stable (his prerogative anyway as a former yokozuna). Musashimaru is the 15th Musashigawa elder but not the 15th head of Musashigawa stable. The location, assets, and all of the wrestlers from the old Musashigawa stable, besides Musashimaru himself and a few lower ranked wrestlers he took with him, are now under the name of Fujishima, but it is still the same stable. An argument could be made for following the Japanese wiki on this, but it is misleading for the reasons stated above. There are scores of stables that have revived former stables' names, and they have been handled as distinct separate stables on English wiki and I think this precedent should be followed. Third incarnation edit

- Yes, looking at that link there appears to have been a Musashigawa stable operating for about two years in the 1930s. So obscure that we overlooked it. No connection to the modern Musashigawa stable of course, but the article will need to be re-worded.--Pawnkingthree (talk) 19:38, 31 March 2016 (UTC)
