December 2009 edit

According to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation's Annual Reports, Mountain View reported having only 3 officers in 2008 and 6 in 2007. [1] I believe that that the news article that was probably incorrect. The CBI annual reports dating back to 2002 have the number of sworn officers between 3 and 6, consistently. CBI is a pretty reliable source. Is there anyone else besides CBS4 that states Mountain View Police Department has 12 Officers?

Also is there a reference that states that MPD have one of the highest density of police officers in the world. The comparison is between the New York which is large city with over 8 million people and Mountain View which is a small town with about 500 people doesn't seem like the proper comparison . The reference doesn't mention Mountain View but the largest cities and countries in the world. 5 or 6 officers would be a minimum to keep the place open 24/7. Even if there were 12 officers that would only be about 2 officers per shift. I'm sure there are hundreds of towns across America with similar numbers. This part of the article seems a bit misleading.

Do The traffic ticket problem and who the police pulled over seem to be trivial and unnecessary to print in a Wikipedia article? Dbkilo (talk) 14:51, 8 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Map of the municipal area? edit

This article could use a map of the little municipal area, and how it fits in with the neighboring municipalities adjacent to it. Anyone know of a good GPL licensed map, or might be willing to make one? Adding {{reqmap}}. The existing maps are of too large an area to show the (really dinky) extent of this tiny municipal enclave. N2e (talk) 19:36, 25 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
