Before the game, five objects must be chosen to form Monty's Freedom Kit. Choosing the wrong items will leave the player unable to pass certain screens. This also acted as an anti-piracy measure, since the objects were only given numbers onscreen meaning the player had to refer to the accompanying manual. - in the C64 version at least, the objects are not only given unmbers onscreen, but are also represented by images. --85.24.240.236 (talk) 17:58, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

 Not only that, but the objects AREN'T in the manual; at least not in all buyable editions. It's a trial-and-error thing. In which versions are the objects only given numbers? --85.24.241.29 (talk) 18:31, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
