Question
editAre the "1,875 Sanskrit characters" Devanagari ligatures? It is questionable that they should be listed under "extinct", since the script is also used for living languages. dab (ᛏ) 12:14, 14 Mar 2005 (UTC)

甲骨文字 - Oracle Bone Characters
In the database site for Mojikyo it says that there are 甲骨文字 3,401字 see [1]. Here on this page, we see there are are 3398 characters. I've downloaded all the characters from the site for the 24x24 gifs and found only 3348, which may be due to there being some which didn't cache properly in my browser. So, there seems to be a slight difference of around 3 characters, or as many as 63 characters... Dylanwhs 16:42, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- Well, after counting the number of characters in the Konyaku Mojikyo Character Map, I get 3354 Oracle Bone characters listed there. Since this is definitive on the 2002 version, I shall alter the article to reflect this. Dylanwhs 08:17, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
How is this NOT an ad for a commercial website?

- If significant numbers of people in Japan are using it for text processing, then it can be notable on that grounds. We have articles on Microsoft Word etc. -- AnonMoos (talk) 09:14, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
