I created this page by following a link on the IMAP page; I do intend to fill it out to meet Wikipedia's standards. Aliza250 21:51, 19 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Tim: Thanks for adding the first 2 generations. Still to be added, if we're to follow the template you started:

3-series

4-series (M400, MD400, M4000, M4000N, M4000S, N+1) 4.5-series (M450, MD450, M4500, M4500N, M4500S)

5-series: M50, M500, M5000, M5000S, M5000N, RG100, RG350, RG500

6-series: M600, M6000, S6000, RG160, RG600, RG6000

The general naming scheme is that more digits=bigger, more powerful systems.

(N=NAS storage, S=SAN storage, RG=RazorGate security appliance, MD=Message Director)

and mentioning that 6-series appliances only run MOS 4.x while older models top out at MOS 3.10

I'm unsure of the value of mentioning what MOS version shipped with each appliance, especially because later models shipped with a variety of installed versions. Aliza250 (talk) 04:34, 17 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Orphan article message

edit

Please help this orphan article by adding links to it in related articles and lists. Once it has an incoming link from at least one article or list, the orphan tag can be removed (disambiguation pages, redirects and draft articles do not count). Three or more incoming links are ideal. The Find link tool may help, but not in all cases.
