Grant funding, in-article source notes, and research/patent blurb

edit

Hi Wikipedians,

Is the information on grants and funding received really necessary for this article? It seems out of place and promotional rather than contributing to the encyclopedic knowledge, especially in its current location. I have the same question about the listed number of research articles published and patents owned.

Additionally, since I am a new contributor, I'd like to ask you all if the in-article source notes (e.g., "(Nature 1999)") should be removed as the information is already in the footnote associated with the citation.

Thank you! AlexTheAwkward (talk) 21:33, 16 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
