occupants after 1874 edit

The article presently says that the 5th Earl Fitzwilliam left Milton Hall to his second son George, who occupied it until "after 1912". This is obviously impossible as he died in 1874. The references to du Maurier's stay during the Great War would seem to indicate that after 1874 Milton went back to the Earls Fitzwilliam rather than to his son George Charles (1866-1935). Was this what happened? Either way Milton Hall ended up with the cadet line by 1952 when George Charles's son succeeded his second cousin as 10th and last Earl. Agreed - at least that it is confusing. I wrote the text as best I could from the references but I admit to a degree of uncertainty. Ideally it would be best to wait for someone better informed but if you feel there is an error - and it looks likely - please feel free to correct it. Cj1340 (talk) 13:34, 22 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
