Notability
editI suggest removal of the notability tag from this article. The sources provided range from broadly based firearms publications to a variety of sources dealing with a broad spectrum of military weaponry. 12-gauge sporting firearms have proved sufficiently adaptable as individually-operated military weapons to meet a substantial majority of the widely varied applications requiring large-diameter smooth-bore firearms. Many of these applications require specialized cartridges inappropriate for civilian purposes. While the title might be changed to eliminate the 12-gauge specificity, very few other smooth-bore cartridges have been used in similar numbers. Thewellman (talk) 20:53, 25 September 2022 (UTC)
