Of potential use for this article is Dirk Henning, "Messius Phoebus Severus und die Chronologie der Praefecti Urbi unter Kaiser Anthemius (467–472)", Zeitschrift für Papyrologie und Epigraphik, 108 (1995), pp. 145–158. Henning dates Severus' urban prefecture, however, after Fl. Eugenius Asellus, between 471 & the death of Anthemius.
